Verna "Cuffie" Marie Cuff
July 15, 1928 - January 25, 2020
Verna Marie "Cuffie” Cuff, 91, of Kennett Square, PA, passed on January 25, 2020. Born July 15, 1928 in West Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Mable G. Walker Cuff.
A lifelong resident of Kennett Square, PA, she was a graduate of the Kennett Consolidated School District, class of 1946. In her senior year, she was awarded “the Cup” for her four years of outstanding athletic participation. The cup was initiated by the class of 1923.
Verna will be remembered as a caregiver for many of her friends who predeceased her. She was a former member and Sunday school teacher of New Garden Memorial U.A.M.E. Church of Kennett Square, PA. She was a self-employed painter and paperhanger –today known as an interior-exterior decorator.
“Cuffie” is survived by nieces, nephews, many cousins, and a host of friends.
She was predeceased by brothers, Albert, Jr., William, Charles, and Robert and sisters, Gertrude Cuff and Bernice Cuff Coy.
